The Spoken Arabic of Cairo is used by the American University in Cairo in their Arabic Language Institute.  It is a wonderful book, dealing strictly with spoken Arabic, not with the alphabet at all.  It may take you a bit to figure out some of the letters that are not existent in English, but if you want to really speak Arabic in Cairo, this is the way to go!  This book is MY FIRST CHOICE for those wanting to learn to speak Arabic!
