Grave Affairs is the first book in the Grave Affairs series. There are only 2 books so far, and I'm waited with bated breath for book 3!
Can I just say first, that I am totally, absolutely in love with the carbunclos, and I want of my own! If I can't have one, at least, I want to read lots lots lots more about them :)
The heroine is a marvelous character, she’s down to earth, practical, empathetic, and strong morals. She also has an amazing lack of ego, she just pitches in and gets the job done. Really, she’s quite quite fascinating.
Her parents are a real hoot, and I absolutely love when they are posting at each other, those are some of the best passages in the book! The more I read of them, the more I want to read more of them!
What's more, Erik gets a gold star just for being him. Most people would hold a grudge, or resentment, but he not only does not blame Kinsley for having left, he understands and what's more he kicked ass and took names on her behalf in Miami! That's not a spoiler, is it? I hope that's not a spoiler... I really hate when people writes spoilers, but I think this is okay so I'll leave it.
My point! Get this book! Read it! Get the next book! Read it, too! Then grab book #3 the instant it's up for preorder... it's only been a few months, folks, let's give her some time to write!
