Some years ago, I discovered Inkarnate, a website that allows us to make maps for our novels and Dungeons and Dragons games, and so forth. I was caught up in remembering my teenage-me copies of The Lord of the Rings, which all had fold-out maps inside the back covers... okay so I didn't go quite that far, heh, but I did go in and make a map which is printed in the forematter of my 16th century romantasy trilogy!

I actually also sent it off to VistaPrint and had a poster printed, which I have framed and on my wall over my author's bookcase :) Hey... I believe in the perks! I write the books, I get to have the perks! Okay, I did have to stop ordering sets of mug/pens/photo coasters for each book because I simply ran out of room for them and it was getting ridiculous. It was inspirational, too, for the first dozen books, but... I mean. Come on. I'm up to 18 books now, and I stopped getting them after the first 10... but I still get that glow of achievement when I see them!
