One Big Bite by Lauretta Hignett

One Big Bite is the 6th and final book in the Eternity College Chronicles by Lauretta Hignett.

I was still in the first chapter and the encounter with the Vampire Queen consort, and I had to put the book down three times because I was laughing so hard, and then I had to go back and read it again because I was laughing so hard I might’ve missed something… Alternatively, because it was so freaking funny I had to read it again! And that’s even BEFORE she got to the explanation of why she… Oh wait, I can’t say, because… Spoilers!

And oh my God! I didn’t realize this was Imogen! I can't believe I didn't make the association, and then as soon as I saw her name I was like oh my God! And then I had to cackle like a hyena and drum my heels and OK I had to go back and read that whole encounter all over again…

The confrontation with Deborah I admit, was taught with tension, and highly gratifying. And even more satisfying than her being turned into a frog… although, admitted, that was freaking awesome!!!!!

One thing… I missed Peaches. I did. And the amazing thing is... Marie did too! When you consider the past 5 books, with Peaches fussing at Marie, and Marie fussing about the angel,

I couldn’t help but smile the whole time I was reading her initial meeting with Amy. The whole time I was thinking oh my gosh, look at our little Marie, all grown-up and adulting! She handled that meeting, and Amy‘s hostility and despair, with actual empathy, it was wonderful to watch, and Peaches would have been so proud!

This was an amazing end to the series, and wrapped things up so HIGHLY satisfying, I couldn't help a huge sigh and a big smile.

Really, this book, this whole series, was just wonderful (well, of course it was!), and I absolutely cannot WAIT for the next series and... WHAT HAPPENED TO ROSE???!!!
