The Best Rejection Letter Ever!

Wayyy back before I self-published, when I finished my very first book, Truck Stop, in 2000, I was searching for a literary agent. I got this response from an agent I had submitted to, and although it was a rejection letter, it made me want to jump for joy! This was from agent Laura Blake Peterson of Curtis Brown, Ltd.:

“There’s no question of your ability. I think you have a very fluid, commercial style that is remarkably polished and self-assured… On the whole, I think your writing has a lot of commercial potential.”
