Fantasy World Building Map of Al Khair

So another writer on Twitter mentioned a site, Inkarnate, that was for people to create their own fantasy world map. I headed right over. There were no instructions, and you start from a blank picture of water, so it was a little challenging at first, but within half an hour I had the map of the landmass with the mountains with the Catacombs roughly in place and the city in the middle. After spending the next day, on and off, fiddling and tweaking, here’s the fantastic result! This is the city of Al Khair, where When Darkness Falls takes place. Tthe vampires live in the Catacombs, there is agriculture in Wadi Al Akhbar, and jackal shifters live in the valley in the northeast. The Great Caravan that comes through twice a year camps outside the city walls by the oasis.

Last year I’d made a rough drawing of the general area, but it was just more for my own use to have an idea of the layout (I’m very visually oriented), and I never seriously considered having a map that could be published with the book… until now!!! LOL! I’m in looove!
