Double Trouble is the 13th book of the Romantic Magical Comedy (with a body count) paranormal romance/urban fantasy series, which now numbers 23 books, each more amazing than the last.

I have to say, Double Trouble is one of my favorites in this series. I am simply blown away by the author's ability to come up with the most fascinating plots, and the most intriguing and unexpected plot twists. The heinous nature of Layla's entire life as she knows it is just unimaginable. Her unhesitating acceptance of the harsh reality would come across as cynicism, except for the absolute innocence behind every statement she makes.

Xena‘s fixation on world domination is hilarious, whereas Dean is the quintessential hero... staunchly there for Layla, no matter what it takes, and absolutely nothing rocks him.

Favorite quotes:

“I ate enough for six people, only to discover Chinese food magically vanished from my stomach and left me hungry again after an hour.”

“I’m not sure we’re adult enough to teach a woman the ways of the world without creating an entity of pure evil,” Xena admitted.
