Worse Than Her Bite is the 5th book in the Eternity College Chronicles by Lauretta Hignett.

Well played, Ms. Hignett. Well played, indeed. I did NOT see that coming!!!

It is rare that an author manages to surprise me with a plot twist anymore, but you pulled it off. I can't say what it is because (spoilers!) but you know which one I mean. I actually went back and re-read the scene several times, just to savor it.

It was lovely seeing Marie progress... I was smiling, thinking, "aww, look at our girl, all growing up and adulting." The character development on Marie was superb... slow, steady, and painful, and now look at her!

As far as her mother.... HAH! I didn't see that coming, either! Again, I can't say because (spoilers!) but it was absolutely delicious.

And, yeah... about Ronan... I DID see that coming, actually, as of the last book I was pretty sure, and I was right. Yikes, the poor guy! I feel so bad for him. Now I cannot wait for the next book to see how that turns out.

This book was fabulous, a delightful read, and so much fun! If you're reading this review to help you decide whether to get the book... then the answer is YES! Run do not walk to your shopping cart and drop this in it, and clear off your calendar for this evening, because you're not going to want to put this book down til the very end!
